Workbook Issue

I have some weird issue that just started.

I have two workbooks in a single folder.

I open up file A and it opens the file in a workbook.

I open file B and it opens in the same workbook as file A. I then need to
minimize each file to access the other.

Why are they no longer openning independently so that I can ALT TAB thru each

You can follow this steps, In Excel 2007 go to start /Excel Options in the
new window, select the advanced option in the left panel, after that, check
if the box is mark "show all windows in taskbar"
