I have had the following problem since I signed up for SBC
DSL. About 50% of the time when I browse I receive the
message below. I receive it everytime I open Outlook
Express. I cant run things like stock market ticker tapes
or anything that updates automatically, because it thinks
Im not connected to the internet, so everything has to be
manually updated.

Message reads...

Work Offline

No connection to the internet is currently available. To
view internet content that has been saved on your
computer, click Work Offline.

Click Try Again to attempt to connect.

The article says to change 2 strings, LoadLCE and LoadSENS
to "auto". However, the LoadSENS will not hold the change?
I modify it just I did with LoadLCE, but it changes back
to "Yes" when I close the registry?

Suggestions?

The change back to "yes" form "auto" occurs after starting
Outlook Express, not when closing the registry.

I take it you are referring to this article:

I would suspect it's a setting in OE that's reversing your change. In OE go
to Tools...Options, Connections tab, and make sure both boxes at the top are
unchecked.

Yes, that is the article. Both settings are unchecked.

Problem persist.
