wordpad

Why can't I open wordpad created documents that I recieve in my e-mail?

What filetype?
1. WordPad can create RTF or DOC as well as TXT files.
We do not know which you mean. Usually, what matters is
solely whether the recipient can read the filetype. (It does
not matter what the sender used to create the filetype.)
2. We do not know how your email app is configured.
Most can be set up to omit attachments.

You need to tell us what happens when you try. You should also ask the
sender what application he/she used to create them.

The little window with the pages flying into a folder opens and it just sits
there.

What happens when you try? What specific error messages do you get?
What specific troubleshooting steps have you already taken, and what
were the results of each? In what specific file format are the
documents saved? What specific email client software are you using?

I'm afraid that no one can help if you don't provide at least a
modicum of pertinent information.
