WORD LANGUAGE TOOLBAR

I am using Windows XP, SP1 and Office 2003. I am trying to use speech
recognition. I have insured that all of the office installation options
(Office Shared Features, Alternative User Input, Speech) have been installed.
In word (Tools Menu) there is an option marked Speech but nothing happens
when I select it. Doing the same in Excel, (Tools Menu, Speech), I get an
option for the language tool bar which then displays it. How can I get this
toolbar to appear in Word as that is where I really need it ? Thanks for

Did you also enable the speech feature in Windows XP? See

I'm having the same problem and yes I did installed and configue my XP speech
recognition engine.
