WMI Backup Attempt

Environment:
Windows 2000 domain

Specific Server:
Windows 2000 SP4
Symantec server
Firewall logging server
WSUS server

When I attempt to do a backup of the WMI repository it reports the following
error:

"
NTLMLogin resulted in hr = 0x8004100e(Tue Jan 10 14:23:46 2006) :
Error loading module {F7CE2E13-8C90-11D1-9E7B-00C04FC324A8}, return code is
0x8004100e(Tue Jan 10 14:23:50 2006) :
ConnectViaDCOM, CoCreateInstanceEx resulted in hr = 0x0
"

This issued was noticed when BackupExec 10.D came over with an error...

0xe000fe6f - An error occured while retrieving the Microsoft Windows
Instumentation data directory. The WMI repository could not be backed up.

....stating that it could not backup the specified server. I did more
research and came back with the above error.

If anyone has any insight into the above error please let me know, as I am
flabbergasted on the next step of troubleshooting. Thanks!

I'm getting the same error on a few servers - both W2k and 2k3.

I'm at a loss, I've recompiled the repository, checked the register,
read all the m$ kb's I can find.. everything I can think of.

Nothing helps :(
