Hello, I hope someone can help.

I have read many of the problems with the camera wizard and also tried some
of the solutions, but my problem appears to be different to everyone elses.

When I used to plug in my casio exilim camera, the autoplay menu would pop
up, I would select 'copy pictures to folder' and then the camera wizard would
begin. It would ask me to name the group of photos and they would be copied
to the folder I chose with the group name I chose.

However, now, the wizard doesn't start. the autoplay works, and I select
'copy pictures...', the autoplay pop up dissapears and nothing else happens.

I have ran the autofix.exe, I have uninstalled real player, etc, etc... but
I still cannot get the wizard to start.

I am running windows xp professional, please could anyone advise me, your
help could save me from going crazy. oh, and my system restore doesn't seem
to be working, haha, but I hope that's not a related problem. So I can't
even seem to restore back to a time when it worked.

Thanks in advance ;)

Maybe the following steps will be useful.

Connect your camera...

Go to...Start / Run

Type..."wiaacmgr" (without the quotes)

Press...Enter.

If your digital camera is not recognized...
try going to...Control Panel / Scanners and
Cameras / Add an imaging device...

As for System Restore...try creating a new
restore point and see if it will work.

Thanks John, you're right, my camera isn't recognised. It is just appearing
as a removable hard drive.

However, I seem to have the correct driver for my casio exilim - I even
re-downloaded it from the website. Although, it is an executable file,
rather than .inf and .dll files which makes it difficult to know what it is
doing.

In the device manager it is recognised under the USB connections and the
driver properties say it is working fine.

But still, it's true, it isn't showing up under scanners and cameras. I
will have to try to find another driver and try it.

Thanks again.
