I upgraded a win2k dual boot system ( win2k on F Drive and winxp Home on
C Drive )All seemed to go ok but i am unable to access my network and
router. Network Connection shows my NIC and a 1394 connection ( on both
the winxp home partition and the winxp Pro partition ) BUT when I try to
set up the network winxp pro will only use the 1394 connection and NOT
the NIC. This means that not only can I not connect to the other
machines on the net ( peer to peer workgroup ) but I cannot access the
router and the internet. Needless to say I am using the working xp home
partition to compose this.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Dan

If youre missing files/folders on a new install, boot to xp cd,select, install
xp,select, repair this copy of xp.Or you can try, installing xp cd,exit info page,
go to run,type:cmd In cmd type:Sfc /Scannow
