WinXP keeps restarting

I have read some others posts on this issue and tried a few recommendations.
When I do a restart I get to my desktop and then XP will reboot on its own.It is a neverending cycle.
I did a system restore to a previous point and no good.
I can get back to my desktop if I hit F8 and select restore to a previous working point.
Everything works ok until I try to reboot again.Problem resurfaces.
I uncheck Restart and got the bluescreen for info.

Here is what it said.
0x0000008E (0x0000005,0xF7BB88B2,0xF5A2AC10,0x00000000)
sysdrv.sys-Address F7BB88B2 base at F7BB8000 Datestamp 4021c60F

Any ideas as to what this is ??
Thanks in advance for your time if you can shed some light on this.

I don't have pcAnywhere on this system.
Seems to be a corrupt registry. What leads me to believe that is it will boot fine if I select Last Known Good Configuration in the F8 boot menu.It will boot also fine in Safe mode.So my next question woukd be how do I set the system registry back to the good one that it uses when I use that selection.??

Thanks

When you have the computer running open Control Panel - System -
Advanced and click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery
(bottom) section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"automatically restart" to clear it. Click on Apply and OK as needed
to exit.

That should put a stop to the automatic reboots but you may find them
replaced by BSOD STOP messages similar to what you reported above.

I can find no valid references anywhere to a file named sysdrv.sys as
reported by your error message. The closest I can come is a few
instances of a file named sysdrv.exe which is a virus created file.

So you need to ensure that your antivirus software is completely up to
date, with the virus definitions not more than a week old and do a
complete virus scan of your hard drive.

Good luck

I fixed it.
Here is what I did.As noted below the bluescreen showed sysdrv.sys as a stop item.
I unchecked hidden files in folder options and did a scan for sysdrv.I found it in the system32 folder.I renamed it to sysdrv.txt because when I checked it's properties it showed as an unknown file which lead me to believe it was no good to me.
After I renamed it and rebooted,my system came up fine with no problems and no more looping in the restart mode.

there is a file in there also called hpsysdrv.exe
It looks legit from HP.So i left it alone.
