winxp icon default view mode to 'list'

How do I change my default Icon "view" option for all
folders from "Small/Large Icon" mode to "List" mode?

Also how do I disable CD autoplay option in WinXP so that
everytime I enter a CD into my CDD, I do not get a Dialog
Box prompting me to select a particular program to
open/view CD contents?

1. Once you have a folder the way y ou want, go to tools, folder options, view -
Apply to all Folders
The Default for Windows XP is to remember the view settings for the 400 most
recently used folders.

2. Simply press SHIFT key when you place a CD in the CD drive.
It won't Auto play.

Right-click the CD-ROM drive in Windows Explorer (or My Computer), and select
Properties.
Select the AutoPlay tab.
