How can i do this?

Close ALL Windows/Internet Explorer windows..

Open Windows Explorer.
Choose View --> (Whatever view you like best)
(Heck, Choose View --> Status Bar to toggle that too, look at the bottom of
the window - see which one you like best.)

Tools --> Folder Options
General Tab
(Change whatever you want here.. For example: Show Common Tasks in
Folders)

Tools --> Folder Options
View tab
(Change whatever check boxes you want here..)
THEN - Click on Apply to all Folders
Answer to the positive for whatever questions..

Close Windows Explorer..
Open Windows Explorer...

That do it for you?

Hello,

Thank you for posting here!

From the problem description of the post you submitted, my understanding
is: You would like to change the default view to list when searching and
checking the folders. If I have misunderstood about your concern, feel free
to let me know.

Based on my experience, we can use the "Apply to All Folders" button to
accomplish this. Please refer to the following information:

Use the same view settings for all folders
=====================================
You can apply the same view settings to all the folders on your computer.
To apply the same view settings to all folders, follow these steps:

Double Click on one of the folder, click on View in the Menu bar->List.
On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
On the View tab, click Apply to All Folders.
Click Yes, and then click OK.

Note To reset all the folders to the default view settings, repeat these
steps, but click Reset All Folders in step 3
