My neighbor had a virus and a friend of his found, through Norton, that it
was in a "winsock2.2.exe" registry entry. He went into the registry and
took out the winsock2.2.exe. These are the details giver to me. Now the
neighbor gets an error message calling for the winsock2.2exe every time he
starts his computer. He has asked me for help and I need to know how to fix
the problem. Is the "winsock2.2exe" associated with a particular program
that can be reinstalled? Can I just move a copy of my "winsock2.2exe" , I
found, to his computer?
A remedy for stopping this error message from popping up on startup would be
greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
