Winsock Corrupt for Windows 2000 Professional

I just recently got high speed internet. When the provider looked at my
computer, he noticed that winsock had been corrupted. When I called
Microsoft on the phone, they told me it would cost about $250 to get support
considering I have the professional version. Does anybody know how I can fix
or reinstall Winsock for windows 2000 professional?? Thanks
