WINS error 4204 datagram protocol (UDP) socket

Can anyone give me some information the event error 4204?
The error message states "wins could not read from the
user datagram protocol (UDP) socket" System is running
Windows 2000 server SP4.

Hi Ron,

You probably will need to take a sniff to verify what is happening, but I
have seen this error when some (printer, network appliance, etc) device on
the network responds to Wins multicast traffic with ICMP Destination Port
Unreachable errors.
