hi Guys

i am a begginer in network concept. i know that down
level client can register it self in dns zon via dhcp, so
why i shuold use wins in network that has downlevel clei
nt

Hi Amir,

Downlevel clients use NetBIOS to login into the domain.
NetBIOS is used by all clients for browsing.
Many applications are NetBIOS based.
WINS provides NetBIOS name resolution.
