winlogon results in blue-screen with cisco aironet installed

I have a Thinkpad T40 with win2k. It is set to work on a
corporate domain. If I boot with a Cisco aironet 350
wireless card, I get the logon prompt just fine. If I
login at that point, winlogon.exe crashes and results in a
blue screen.

If the wireless card is out, then login proceeds normally.

What could be causing this?

Almost always a hardware and or driver issue.
