I got an error message on Norton System works saying something about
quarantine and to uninstall and then reinstall system works. So I uninstalled
Norton SW and the comp restarted, but went to a black screen saying that
something was lost and it gave me options such as restart in safe mode, last
good know config. and restart normally. i tried restart normally and it goes
to a blue screen that doesn't stay on long enough for me to read it but i got
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL then it says some other stuff and at the bottom like 3
messages with tons of zeros, like this "0x0000000000" and other stuff.....i
cant read the screen because it goes by too fast. it will not let me revert
to last know good, i put it in safe mode and i dont know what to do
anyway...i think that i have to somehow get norton back in the computer, but
i cant do that it safe mode, and when im in safe mode, i cant install any
programs anyway....i seriously have no clue what im doing and i just cannot
get windows to start in anything but safe mode...i tried reverting back to
other dates, and it goes though the process, but when it starts up, the same
stuff happens, i get the black screen, i press start windows normally, then
the blue screen comes up, then the black one comes up again...then ill get a
message that it cannot revert to whatever date i picked...my computer did not
come with a winxp installation disk. help please...

Try safe-mode with networking, then enter as administrator,on desktop,
control-panel,create a new user,close out,restart,then open in safe mode
new user,close-out,restart,see if xp loads normal.
