Windows XP sp2 security updates

I've downloaded some Microsoft security updates recently and as a result I'm
no longer machine administrator (although I'm the only user) and even the
administrator account is hosed. I'm unable to enter control panel/user
accounts, among other things. I'm unable to perform a system restore because
I don't get any response when I select system restore.

Following is a problem with McAfee:
One error is that"McAfee Security Center cannot perform the required
operation: Msg: Object required:'p_objsubMgr'
URL:mcp://CROGRAM~\mcafee.com\agent\scui.dll::McDash.htm?AppId=Line
No:1183" .

There is also another error where the object that cannot be supported is
'gobjReg.RegDeleteKey' and it is within the Internet Explorer Script Error.
Line 12, char 2, code 0.
