Windows XP Service Packs

I'm running XP Pro. Since I installed it on my new machine in
February, I've kept up with Windows updates as they became available.
But I only have Service Pack 1 installed. Should I install any more
service packs, and if so which one? I see them available on Microsofts
website. What do I gain by installing them? Thanks.

Service Pack 2 is the only other Service pack for Windows XP.
