Hallo,
i have problems with WIndows XP and the USB 2.0 recognition.
I have installed the SP1 and SP2 but the USB Ports are only recognized as
USB 1.1

Does any of you know, what the problem could depand on?
I checked BIOS Settings as well.
USB 2.0 Support of my Motherboard is enabled.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

This is the rear ports or the add-ons?
What is telling you that USB2 is not enabled?

Hi,
these are the rear ports at the back of my tower.
4 ports excactly.

I know it because of the usermanual which tells me, that the ports have to
be 2.0
and i can see it from my external harddisk. its an 2.0 300 gb harddisk drive
but when i connect it to my pc, a messagedialog appears which tells me that a
highspeed drive has been added to my pc at an non highspeed usb hub.

thanks for answering anyways

Hi,

Yes, that's odd. Use the article posted by Rock to uninstall and reinstall
the USB drivers. Those ports should be picked up as USB2 by WinXP and the
right driver set should be installed automatically.

To all of my helpers.
i realy like to say thank you to all of you.
My problem is history now :)

It depended on, what someone said, uninstalling the USB Hardware, restart
and reinstall.
After that i could use my fast USB 2.0 .
thanks very much.
