-What do you suggest? Wait to install the SP3, or install only SP2
meanwhile windows realeses more updates?

-Is SP3 accumulative (Contains SP1 SP2) ?

-If I have Windows XP with SP2 why I need SP1?

-I want to download the full SP3 and burn it on a CD in order to
install it in other computer that runs Windows XP and Home Edition is
that posible?

-What is the size of the full SP3?

-I found out the url to download the full SP3
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a8-5e76-401f-be08-1e1555d4f3d4&DisplayLang=en

Get SP3

Yes

SP3 does not contain SP1. You have to have at least SP1 installed for SP3.

SP3 does rollup SP1. SP1 is NOT needed if the user is already at SP2.

The only time SP1 is needed is if the user is upgrading an original XP
system (called "XP Gold") and that is because WU blocks the direct
application of SP3 to such a system. Users of XP Gold would need to upgrade
to at least SP1 before WU would upgrade the system to SP3, but the user can
use either SP1 or SP2 for this first step. SP1 itself is never required but
is simply the earliest XP that can be upgraded to SP3.

There is no URL. It's just the original release of XP, with no service
packs.

MS XP install CDs say what service pack level is installed.

Your system would have to be pretty old to have a pre-SP1 install CD.

XP Gold is the original XP with no service packs.

pounded out on the keyboard:

"SP1 is NOT needed if the user is already at SP2" Yes, obviously.

"The only time SP1 is needed is if the user is upgrading an original XP

I don't know, is it just me or didn't I say that with a lot less words?
