Windows XP installation again

I was dumb my PC had XP on it I bought my wife a laptop she went back to
college well she is running vista, I wanted to be the same wrong dumb stupid
any way my pc had been acting up so I finally decided I had enough patience
with Vista on my Pc 3 gig Processor with 1 Gig of ram ok woorks better
using 2 gig ram I know I decided to remove all start fresh

1 took out my MaxBlast3 disk and re did my hard drive just by the book, I
got a c partition with 498 bytes label d ? C: partition 37000 + i I put my
xp disk in the drive it does its formatting blah blah blah time to take out
disk system reboots

well I get a _ this simble blinking up in the lefy corner of the screen
thats it notta nothin else.

This not my first time ever to install a OS systemm on a PC done it many
times never ever had a problem I am now ok I have re done this
installation 6 times in the past 10 hours guess what I am still noy
installled

I need some good advise I am disabled my PC is my health I use this PC 12
hours a day I cant afford expert advise I cant afford a new pc pLEASE HELP

Set your machine BIOS so that the CD is the first boot device, insert the XP
CD and boot from that, delete all partitions and let XP remake and format
the partition. Allow XP to go through all its steps WITH the cd still in the
drive.

I kinda thought the same thing but if you read between the lines, his
health is not great, and its just quite possible this is a great
accomplishment for him to sit at a computer and type.

If I have only learned one thing monitoring these ng's for the past 2
months, it's that we are all not healthy, educated, wealthy, have a good
grasp of the English language, and are pc literate users.

Oh there was a joke the other day that I think was great, the 'yell like
the third monkey on Noah's gangplank' joke!
