Not entirely, Ken. Don't forget the hundreds of thousands of college
students that would almost invariably prefer the feature set and
capabilities of WinXP MCE, but need to have the capability to join
their schools' domains.

Good point, thanks.

Good point, thanks.

Let's suppose I want to purchase XP PRO and have no interest in Domains.
Is there ANY reason why I should NOT buy MCE since it's cheaper.
I have 3 XP PRO computers which I built myself. Recently I bought a
ready-istalled MCE and have this attached to a 32" LCD. I have joined this
to my Workgroup LAN without problem and use the MCE as a computer often. The
only problem I've encountered is that Adobe PageMaker will not instal,
possible because it is so old and doesn't like the screen - or so I've been
told.
I have raised this before without response.
I genuinely don't know what is wrong with just buying MCE, but then I am not
expert. I don't know what MCE imposes by way of hardware but I would Like to
know as I am ready to recommend to my grandson that he buys MCE.
CLARIFICATION would be appreciated.
Thanks
