Did you actually uninstall the printer correctly. Since it's a Lexmark, you
MUST do a COMPLETE uninstall... see Bruce Sanderson's article at:
http://members.shaw.ca/bsanders/CleanPrinterDrivers.htm
and pay particular attention to his special section on Lexmark printers.
Then reboot the PC.
Ensure the print spooler is running... from the command prompt, type
net start spooler
and hit enter
From the command prompt, type
sfc /scannow
and hit enter
Now download a new set of drivers from the Lexmark website. Ensure you are
logged on an as Administrator or User with Admin Rights. Run the software
you downloaded from Lexmark and do NOT connect the unit until the software
tells you to do so.
