Windows XP & CD-RW Failure

After Installing Windows XP my PC shuts down when CD-RW is
used. When it restarts a message is displayed that says
my PC has just recovered from a serious Error. When the
Error was reported to MS a reply said source of error was
driver but specific info was not offered. Also the
following error message has been displayed: Error 1316 A
network error occurred while attempting to read from the
File C:\Windows\Installer\Nero Burning Rom.msc I have
uninstalled and reinstalled Nero software CD-RW uses.
Windows XP Version 2002 was installed after Hard Drive
with Windows 2000 had been formatted

You may have a bad CD-RW drive. It could be shorting out. Try with
another drive and see if that solves the problem.
