I am having major problems with my D drive which has dissapeared I don't know
where, I would have formatted the PC but this drive doesn't exist any more.
I have looked on the internet for a solution but have gotten nowhere.
As my D drive doesn't work can I still format the PC, and will it put this
drive back where it should be? Can anybody help me please because I am going
crazy with this problem.
Many thanks.

What, exactly is your "D" drive?
CD/DVD drive or a Hard Drive?
Can you think of anything that occurred just before or when the drive
"disappeared".
What does device manager show concerning the drive?
Have you checked the connections to the drive?

Formatting & reinstalling is usually not the best answer.
With the information you have given so far, it's difficult to even try to
point to a solution.
