Sounds just like the problem I'm having with Office 2k
Pro. You just upgraded and now Office products installed
prior to upgrade are still visible on your hard disk but
won't run correct? Did you, by chance, have it backed up
somewhere where you could just plug it in? If not you are
in the same boat I'm in. William (e-mail address removed) sent
last week that what we need is a download of the Windows
installer program. Then we can reinstall Office from
scratch. What happens is as we install update patches the
registry is updated to match and it becomes impossible to
go back to the base version. The installer erases the
history and lets you start over.
