Reinstalled Windows and Office won't work

Doug

I reinstalled Windows 2000 Pro because "Search"
and "Explore" quit working. Now, everytime I try to
access ANY Office XP program, I get a message: "The
feature you are trying to use is on a CD ROM or other
removable disk that is not available." "Insert the
Microsoft FrontPage 2002 disk and click OK." It
eventually asks for the Office XP disk, but nothing
happens. When I try to start, say, Exel I get a
message: "This patch package could not be opened. Contact
the application vendor to verify that it is a valid
Windows Installer patch package." I've got all valid
stuff, but nothing works. Any help?

Thanks Jonathan. I'll give it a try.

Doesn't the Office XP require you to contact microsoft to
activate, anytime you install/reinstall??
