Windows Update

I run XP Sp2 with all updates in place except last weeks. That's my problem

I continuously get installation failed when I try to install them. Nothing
has changed in my machine except I was automatically downloading the updates
and getting a message that they were ready to install. Every time I tried to
run windows update it tells me the updates are already downloaded and ready
to install but the installation fails each time.

How can I fix this. In the future I'll download and install manually but I
can't get past this problem.

Any help appreciated.
