Windows Size

Hi,

In the past few weeks most of the windows will not keep either size and
position in the screen, nor will they keep the way they are suppose to be
viewed, they were keeping it since I installed Vista.

I can no longer use the restore system, since it has been too long since the
problem started, I thought that a simple rebooting as it used to work,
would this time around, but it did not. I even runed a CHKDSK /R on all of
my HDD

How could I fix that

BTW I did not installed any hardware or software around the time that the
problem began, and I rebooted when I installed the lastest Windows Update,
since it required it

Problem is that I can not use any other username to use some of the program
that I have, they have been registered with this username, as well most of
the files are lock to that username and can not be access in anyway by
another username, and that mean all of my pjoto collection SQL files and VB
C# express files, I tried to access them from another username and no way
around it

For whatever reason you had not backed up such a delicate system, revise
your position on that. You are doing things that cannot get by without
backup.

Your "Windows Metrics" are not being saved to the registry. You could
possibly reset the Permissions of your registry to defaults as this article
explains.

Find a little registry hack done by an MVP called "Bags8000.reg" (look for
it on Google). Download it. Double click and add it to registry then reboot.
That's all you do.

I know it is supposed to be for XP but I used it yesterday and cured this
problem on my Vista Business (32 bit).

The whole system is being backed up every 2 days, but by the time that I
discovered that problem it was already too late

What are the WINDOWS METRIC
