Windows Sidebar

I am a non techie and my side bar has disappeared. I go to the control
panel but get a message I am administrator / user using Vista home premium
32 bit

Windows sidebar has stopped working - checking for a solution
Then
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close
the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I have tried the hotfix on the microsoft site No 50201 i think it is but
this does not work for me either.

Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong. Is my windows corrupt? It was
preinstalled on my machine so i have no disc to correct it from

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
