Windows Sidebar problems.

My computer had the Google sidebar preinstalled and made it my default
sidebar manager. I uninstall the google sidebar because the Google desktop
search wasn't staying the sidebar holder every time i turned on my computer.
So when I made the switch to the windows sidebar, the shortcuts that worked
for the google sidebar was not working for the windows sidebar.

So my main question is how do I get the shortcuts to work. Like hitting
Windows Logo + G would bring up the sidebar. That shortcut doesn't work.

Also is the Google sidebar the main sidebar now. Like is every computer that
has vista installed on it will have the Google Desktop package?

To start the Windows Sidebar type sidebar in the search box on the start
menu and click Windows Sidebar Options in the search results.

Check off Start Sidebar when Windows starts to make sure the Windows Sidebar
always shows up.

Google is only the main sidebar on your new computer because Google paid the
manufacturer of your computer to put it there.

It sounds as though your are talking about hotkeys as in keyboard
combinations to access the sidebar and various functions. Those hotkey
combinations don't apply to the Windows Sidebar.

No, the Google Sidebar is not standard. This must have been installed by
your OEM, the Original Equipment Manufacturer as the Windows Sidebar is
standard. The only way the Google sidebar and/or Google Desktop package are
included on any machine preloaded with vista is if the manufacturer provided
it or the user has downloaded it from Google as these items are not a part
of Vista.
