Google sidebar vs. Windows Vista sidebar

My brother's g/f just got a new Dell Inspiron desktop computer. My brother
set up his account on it first and he was able to, what he says, switch from
the "Google sidebar to the Windows Vista sidebar". I don't have Windows
Vista, so I was unable to tell him directly how to switch this on his g/f's
account. It's on Google's sidebar and she would like the Windows Vista one.
I'm not sure if this is even possible or makes sense and I wasn't there when
he set it up, so I don't know what button he pushed to switch them and he
obviously can't remember. If anyone has any suggestions or know what he's
talking about, I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Sounds like the Windows Sidebar on your brothers g/f account is not active,
you should be able to activate the Windows Sidebar by click Start > All
Programs > Accessories > Windows Sidebar. If you would like it to startup
with Windows,
Click Start > type "Windows Sidebar Properties" > check "Start Windows
Sidebar when Windows Starts" > click OK.
