windows setup errors

I have a asus A8V deluxe mobo with a sata hdd 200GB that is brand new, my son
and I built a computer for xmas. When installing Windows XP Pro I keep
getting the error message "Fatal Error: An error has been encountered that
prevents setup from continuing. One of the components that Windows needs to
continue setup could not be installed. I have installed the sata drivers
while installing Windows XP Pro. Windows recognizes the drive, but when it
reboots comes up the windows setup screen the setup time does not count down
and eventually get the above referenced errror. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

Hi,

You installed the SATA drivers supplied you by Asus? I would ask this
question in the hardware group where you may have a better chance of a
knowledgable response. Make sure you are using the latest SATA driver:
