Windows Media Player Won't Stay on Top

I am using WMP 10 (have checked for updates) on a tablet PC (Windows Tablet
vesion). I have embedded a WM file into a PowerPoint (PP 2002, SP3)
presentation. When I play the file from the PP presentation on a laptop or a
desktop, the WMP stays on top while the file plays. On the tablet PC, WMP
"flashes" briefly on top, then moves behind the presentation and PP
application. I have checked all security settings, have updated graphics
drivers, have messed with graphics accelerator settings, and I do have WMP
set to keep player on top of other windows.

Any thoughts as to why it won't stay on top?

I inserted an mpeg file as an object viewed as an icon on a slide. I did not
directly insert "movie from file" because I wanted a clickable icon on a
slide that already contained a full image.

No need to use Windows Media Player, you can Insert the video using Insert >
Movies and Sounds. You can then set the animation to play "On click" of the
object using "Triggers".

If you are not comfortable with trying this you can download a free trail
version of my add in that will do it all automatically including setting the
animation settings. You can download it from http://www.pfcmedia.com
