Windows media player 10

I am trying to find out what I am doing wrong. I have window media player 10
as my default player. Everytime I try to open up a media file from my email,
I always get an message that says 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file.
If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the
network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem
persists, the server might not be available.'

What's up with this?? Any advice guys?

Just because WMP is your default player it may not be set up to play certain
formats. To make WMP open these different formats, do this:
Open WMP>Tools>Options>File Types tab>check all blocks>Apply>OK
You'll probably need to reboot for the settings to take effect.
