I think one or two files may have become corrupted & are causing a problem when I try to install new programs. Just wondering if there is a restore/repair option on the ME CD-ROM & I could load that & it would fix the problem automatically?

Thanks.

There should be an option when you boot directly from the WinME CD, or autorun it. It will ask to re-install over the top, and it should fix any problems you are having with corrupt windows files :)

Are you sure the problem is caused by files Windows uses?

start -> run -> type "c:\windows\options\install\setup.exe"

that'll then reinstall ME over the top of itself, much the same as ian just said but without the CD.
