Windows Mail won't set as Default

Brian

I go to tools and options, and it says "This application is NOT the default
mail handler" Then it says "Make default" I click on it, click apply, and
then Okay to close the box, but when I reopen it, it says the same thing.
I've tried closeing windows mail, and reopening, either way, it will NOT make
Windows mail my defaut mail, even though there is no other mail handler on my
computer. Help? THanks

Try setting it as default from 'Control Panel|Default Programs|Set your
default programs'. Set it as default and make sure it has all it's
defaults.

Good idea Hal. Unfortunatly, it still did not work. It just won't let me set
Windows mail as default. Any more ideas?

This is true on my computer. It says that is NOT the default, but I believe
that it really is the default. It’s just a programming error or flaw. I
switched to Windows Live Mail and it says that it is the default mail
program.

Thanks Robert! BINGO! Got it. This has been going on for a long time,
FINALLY, I can make Windows Mail Default.
