Windows Mail View

In Outlook I could have folders to the left and preview pane to the right and
if I reduced the centre column width the 'From' column included the subject
and date or if today the time. Why can't I do the same with Windos Mail?

The Date and Time is shown in the "Received" column, not in the "From"
column...
you can show whichever columns you want...
Right-click on the "From" column header and select "Columns.."
You can adjust the width of all the columns and panes.

Having the Preview pane on the side limits the space available. That's why
I keep it on the bottom.
