sizing columns in windows mail

I can't seem to keep the column size adjustments permanent once I leave

That isn't security software.

WMID=Windows Mail Identities? I don't know if that could be
the cause. But let's look elsewhere first. Any antivirus or anti-spyware
programs?

Yes, Windows Mail identities. And yes Norton anitvirus and spyware. But you
gave me food for thought when you said something blocking writing to
registry. I have just tried closing that program, then making changes, then
closing mail and reopening and now adjustments are staying. So, the test
will be when I shut down if they remain changed. I'll keep you posted and

Well, my columns stay even after a restart however as soon as I open WMID
they go back to default positions. Any ideas?

You should report this problem directly to the author of WMIDs,
Steve Cochran. He probably gave you a support email address when
you purchased that program..
