Windows Mail Sometimes Doesn't Send Messages To Newsgroup

Hi,

I believe to have noticed a strange behaviour of Windows Mail when using it on Microsoft Newsgroups: Sometimes (very infrequently, say every tenth or twentieth message) a message I've posted to the newsgroup doesn't seem to reach the newsgroup server.

Looking at the message properties in the Outbox, everything seems to have been posted correctly. But looking at the newsgroup no message appears, even after, say, 20 minutes.

Anyone getting the same experience? Probably it doesn't handle some kind of error correctly and ignores some codes telling that the posting didn't work?

Any help is appreciated.

Best regards,

This appears to be especially true if you have checked "Use newsgroup
message rating feature". I think it's because Microsoft can't get their
NNTP and HTTP servers synchronized.

I see... That's interesting.

Do you perhaps know of some remedy for that problem?

I've now posted my last response to "Can't display database diagrams" three times. Only the third one - after restarting Windows Mail - reached the server... :(

.... furthermore, when sending a message, Windows Mail always tells me that it can't activate community features because it can't display the Live Login dialog... I wondering why it wants to present that dialog to me anyway. I've already saved my credentials with Windows Mail...

Go to Tools, Options. On the General tab, uncheck "Use newsgroup message
rating features". The so-called Communities feature is very buggy and should
not be used.

Not really.
I've unchecked that box and now I'm seeing more of my messages on the NNTP
server, which is the one I care more about.

I could usually get rid of that by closing and reopening WinMail.
