Hey all,
Brand new computer here, and I have a weird issue (that I had before in
Outlook Express in fact). Using IMAP through Windows Mail.
Sometimes, when I write a new message or am replying to an old one, I click
send, but nothing appears to happen. The e-mail I'm writing stays on
screen. However, a copy is saved to the Sent Items folder. BUT, if it is a
reply, the original e-mail doesn't indicate it's been replied to as per
usual (with the replied to icon).
I don't get it. The only thing I can think of that might be the common
denominators are IMAP and the use of Trend Micro Antivirus/Antispyware, as I
had that on the Outlook Express machine also.
What I *really* need to know is if the e-mail actually sends when this
happens, or if I should indeed click send a second time. I'd hate for
people to get double copies (which is what happens in the sent items folder
if I click send again), but worse would be the mail not getting there at
all, and there seems no way to verify if it actually sent or not. (One
would think it did if it went into sent items, but since it doesn't show as
replied and the e-mail stays on the screen, I'm not confident).
Thanks for any help - I did a search but wasn't able to find much. I also
can't seem to reproduce the problem at will to test, or I would have.
Sincerely,
Shaun Gupta
