Restart Windows Mail to send messages....NORMAL?

L

Lucie

In order to send a message, I need to close the Windows Mail application and
then start it again. I already tried to select/deselect different options
such as "send when start up" and nothing has changed.

When i select "send" once i finished to write my message, it goes directly
in my outbox and no matter how many times i click on "send all"....it stucks.

Any suggestions? Or shall i keep on closing/opening my inbox????

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled. The latest version of Trend's
anti-virus seems to be causing problems too.

Click on Tools, then Options, then Send. If there's no check mark in
the box before Send messages immediately, click on this box and then
Apply. Click on OK.

Have you tried this one?

Click on Tools, then Accounts, then your email account, then Properties.
If there is no check mark in the box before Include this account when
receiving mail or synchronizing, click on this boc and then Apply. Click
on OK and then Close.

Click on Tools, then Options. If there is no check mark in the box before
Send and receive messages at startup, click on this box and then Apply.
If there is no check mark in the box before Check for new messages
every, click on this box, adjust the time if not reasonable but not to
less than every 5 minutes, then click on Apply. Click on Send. If there
is no check mark in the box before Send messages immediately, click
on this box and then Apply. Click on OK.

If that doesn't help, are messages piling up in your Outbox? What
happens if you try to delete the oldest one?

What if any antivirus programs do you have? Some of them cause
assorted problems in Windows Mail, especially if you leave email
scanning enabled.

I have almost the same problem but I actuallu have to restart the pc not just
windows mail. I have tried all of the suggestions used in this post and
nothing changes.

Any further suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
