Hi all. Whenever i bootup my pc, it would stop at the welcome screen where i
need
to click on administrator before i can login to windows. How can i bypass
the welcome screen so that i go direct to windows during bootup. By the way
there is only one user account for my pc which is administrator.

Hi

If you want to bypass the Welcome screen, try this:

From Start>Run type in

control userpasswords2

then uncheck 'Users must enter a user name and password to use this
computer' and click 'Apply'. On the next screen - 'Automatically Log On' -
delete the name 'Administrator' from the User name box and enter your
account name and then the password in the next two boxes. OK your way out
and then reboot your system.

Or you can use Tweak UI:

You can download TweakUI from
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and when
installed go to Programs>Powertoys for Windows XP>Tweak UI - then go to
Logon>Autologon.

Click Start, Run and type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2, and click Ok. Uncheck "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" option, and click Ok.

FYI: The built-in Administrator account should be used as a reserve, and not intended for routine usage. The built-in Administrator account will become Hidden when a admin-level user account is created.
