windows/internet explorer error

Chris

hi, thanks for the help in advance.
this morning i started getting windows explorer and
internet explorer error messeges. if i open windows
explorer i get "windows explorer has encountered a
problem...tell microsoft about this problem". but if i
move the error dialog box aside i am able to browse
through windows explorer just fine. if i open internet
explorer i get "internet explorer has encountered a
problem...tell microsoft about this problem". but if i
move the error dialog box aside i am able to browse/surf
the net without a problem.
i am running internet explorer ver
6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633. i have run virus scans
(my client antivirus, panda, housecall) and found no
viruses or trojans. i have attempted to reinstall
internet explorer. i have run a repair on internet
explorer. i have attempted several system restores but
get the messege "restore incomplete.....windows cannot
restore your system to a previous...". i still get the
error dialogs.

any ideas are welcome.
thanks again,
Chris

Hello Chris,

The best, cheapest and quickest way to fix this problem
and get done within 1 1/2 hrs:
- Boot to the WinXP CD
- Select Repair and follow other screen instructions.
- After it Reboots go to the Desktop.
- Run a 3rd Party Windows Registry cleaner program.
- Defrag the Windows Registry file.
- Then reboot.
- After it Reboots go to the Desktop.
- Then go to the Windows Update Site and download them
again.

If you would like to correspond further, I have created a
temporary email address you can contact me at and if you
need, I have images that would show more details about
how to do this:
