Windows Installer Window Keeps Popping Up

G

Gail

Hi,

I keep getting a windows installer popup window whenever I open ANY program.
It says that “The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other
removable disk that is not available. Insert the disk and click OK. There
is nothing listed in “Use Sourceâ€. I can’t tie it to anything I have done
recently.

I have Windows XP SP2

Can anyone help?

Thank you,

Gail

Mark;
I have the same problem. I go into Add/Remove programs, select Office
Professional, select Change. It then goes into a Wizard asking which program
I want to upgrade. No mentiion of "on demand". Next?

JackR,

You have Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2? 32 or 64-bit? If
32-bit - why haven't you updated to Windows XP with Service Pack 3 yet?

I mean - the conversation you responded to was over in October 2008... So
things might not be the same with your system. as it was with the original
poster (Gail) or the response may not be the same from Mark L. Ferguson no -
if they are even monitoring the nearly two year old posting.

What version of Microsoft Office are *you* running? Office 97? Office
2000? Office 2002/XP? Office 2003? Office 2007? Office 2010? (If the
last one - 32 or 64-bit?)

You have - fill in the blanks - Windows XP ______ Edition with Service Pack
_, __-bit?
