Windows Installer & Outlook

I don't know if this is a question for Windows or for Outlook, but it's about
to drive me nuts! Every time I open Outlook for my email and click on
anything - new message, inbox, etc. - the Windows installer pops up and wants
to install Office 2003, which - of course - is already installed. I can
either hit "cancel" 8-10 times or wait until the installer quits or figures
out that Office is already installed. This is maddening! The same thing
happened with the installer wanting to install Roxio Creator 7 until I
removed the program from my computer. I have run "detect and repair", and
I've inserted the Office 2003 program disc, but the same thing keeps
happening. This is a fairly recent problem - maybe for a month or two.
Help!!!

let it run... and it should then be fine until you install something else
that uses the installer. (it's a corrupt key in the registry for the
installer).

How do I fix the corrupt key in the registry? The problem continues even
though I have not installed any other program.
