In windows explorer the right window has several links
under "See also" listed as My Documents, My Network Places
and My Computer... any suggestions on why they do not work.

a recently installed IE patch may be the problem... check
control panel and remove an IE hotfix with 145 as the last
3 digits... that should do the trick
