Windows Explorer Has Encountered a Problem

For some reason 9 times outta 10 whenever I try to access "My Computer" or
Control Panel,I get the message Windows Explorer has Encountered a Problem
and must shut down.Anybody have any ideas how I can rectify this?.Thanks.

If you get an answer for this, please let me know. I've had the exact same
problem for months and can't get it fixed... Even brought it to a
professional, and it couldn't be fixed...

What I did was START>Run>Msconfig,Start up then deselect ipmon32.exe.That
has fixed it for me.I can't believe how hard it is to get an answer to this
problem.I've heard everything from "You may have to uninstall Windows then
reinstall.AS IF!!.Anyway this has worked for me for now,someone else did this
same thing on these boards and it worked for them too.

Thanks.. Will try it and let you know the results. It didn't happen with me
all the time, just some of the time. Never knew when it would crash. Was
that the way yours was? Or... Did it crash all the time?

Hi Helen
No it didn't happen all the time.Also it pretty much only happened when like
I said I go into My Documents and files.I didn't know when exactly it would
do this but if I just clicked around my Docs,Control Panel and stuff I could
be sure it would happen.Anyway since doing the change I mentioned earlier it
hasn't happened at all.
