Windows Explorer "freezes"

Windows Explorer is freezing whenever I go into My Computer in the folders
view and click right mouse. I cannot format a floppy or see the properties
of any drives or folders. Going into Windows Task Manager it tells me that
Windows Explorer is not responding. I am refering to Windows Explorer not
Internet Explorer. Can you give me any clues please about resolving the
problem.
I am running SP2.

I have the same problem with one user account. As a temporary kludge, you
can "off" explorer in the task manager, and then use the task manager to run
explorer again. this allows use of the account, but does not "fix" the
problem.
