windows driver update problem?

Hi
I installed a driver update for my Realtek AC97 Audio via the windows update
site and now my pc wont play sounds! Have rolled-back the driver update and
everything is back to normal again. Has anyone else had similar problems and
is there a way to fix it, or shall i just not update the driver.

Unless you are having problems leave the driver alone. You should only use
the Realtek website for updates for your hardware don't rely on any MS
updates for hardware drivers unless you have no other choice.
